extremely well articulated. So many ways to misjudge your credibility tank levels. And seems to proliferating with AI. Good self awareness check point for me!
so true, I felt this a lot during my early days trading. I was part of discord groups and following the "pros" trades and outsourcing my thinking to them. there were plenty of times I did my own analysis and thought the price would go one way, but the pro thought the price would go a different way, and I thought "okay well he's a pro so I guess he must be right". so I ended up taking his trade setup instead of my own, and his ended up being wrong and mine would have been right. I only started to really learn once I exited those groups and traded for myself and trusted my own judgment. I was wrong plenty of times, but since I was the one making the decisions I learned so much more than when I deferred my thinking to someone else
I’ve done the same thing in my own industry. It’s easy to second guess ourselves and assume someone else who on paper is further along must have it right. Good for you for leaving the groups and trusting your own judgment!

If you have a gut feeling that you want to check - it's okay to go to outside sources. But in the end, what you should be measuring is; are you closer to or further from, your goals?
